As Richard left the office, he flashed a smile at Avery, who struggled to hide her confusion. Just before she could utter a word, Felix granted her permission to enter the office. There he was, seated at his table with a pile of paperwork in front of him. He seemed so immersed in his work that he was unaware of her presence, his rimmed glasses fixed at the bridge of his nose, and his expression very stern.
