Seeing a friendly face after having to deal with Alena would have been nice. Xandros’ P.O.V. I walk out of the kitchen and head to my room. I need to check on the bug, I planted in my Father’s office, after I overheard a conversation between him and Alena, my Stepmother, the other day. I was only able to hear a little, but it was enough to infuriate me and my Wolf. They had been talking about Taliyah and Alpha Roger, but I was unable to listen to the rest of it because one of our Warriors had linked me to come to the south border. I hope that I can find out what it is that they were talking about. And I hope I can found out before it is too late. I know Father dislikes Taliyah, even though it is not her fault she was born a girl. I also know that he hopes that Alena will give him a Son soon, because he needs three Sons to be his successors. He hopes that it will ensure his control of the Pack. He will be disappointed though, because I have no desire to become a Beta. Declining my position as Beta, will mean that my Cousins take over and that will only benefit the Pack.
