As the young woman's gasps for breath lessened, the tension began to drain from her body. Gradually, the pressure on the back of Sam's head eased. Finally the older woman sat back with a smile on her face. She looked up and saw that Sally's eyes were closed and her arms were lying motionless at her sides. Her thighs were also lying motionless on her shoulders. She was breathing heavily still, but she wasn't otherwise moving. It appeared that she was asleep.
