Chapter 7 Left In The Storm

He had left the office and went to meet Lola. They had gone for dinner together and after it, they chose to chill out together at a lover's booth just adjacent the restaurant. Adrian's bodyguards were around and he felt intimate with Lola. It was supposed to be something casual,but the feelings of last night did not totally wash off Adrian's memory. He feels unhappy that he didn't get to fu*k her in his right mind but he did it in a drunken state. He kissed Lola all over and told her that he loves her. “About last night, Lola…” Adrian began and Lola placed her index finger on his lips. He paused and smiled. “Lovers don't have to talk about the times they spent together or the feelings of intimacy they shared because until I owe you to myself, nothing else matters to me” Lola said and kissed him. Until that day she gets fully what she wants, nothing else matters to her anymore. His wife could come and pick him from the club drunk, or she might even let his dick remain in her cunt until the morning, it doesn't matter to her. Her eyes are set on a goal and that's what she wants. Once she gets hold of it, it would be enough to pay for all the troubles and inconveniences she had endured. Adrian was pleased. Glad that she doesn't want to talk about it, he waved it off. He wants to apologise to her for hurting her badly. The volume of blood stains he found on the bedspread that morning only indicated that she might have been wounded down there. “Tell me what you want me to do for you, and you'll have it,” Adrian asked, bringing her to sit on his thighs and kissing her cleavage. Lola giggled and smiled. “I want you” she responded and giggled aloud again. She wants him. She wants him to slip a wedding band on her finger and declare her his wife. Then everything would be fine. “And you'll have it,” He assured her. He kissed her again and Lola asked “When are you planning the divorce?” His grandfather was the obstacle to them being together. Otherwise, his parents were in full support of her and Adrian's relationship. “I'm on it already. Since the marriage is a secret one, the divorce will be so too. I've contacted my lawyer to prepare the divorce papers already”Adrian gave an update. Lola was happy and Adrian saw that the weather had changed. A storm was coming and he held Lola, walking over to his car and due to the wind, he removed his jacket and draped it upon her shoulders and pulled her to a side hug, protecting her with his body. Unknown men quickly surrounded them and started taking pictures. His bodyguards tried to shield them but it was too late as several pictures had been taken and almost immediately sent online. And then the rain came pouring down. Adrian drove Lola home. He murmured and complained silently why the storm would ruin his evening with Lola. The news was on the Internet with the caption “Adrian Lester catching cruise with lover Lola Carrero” and their pictures were lettered everywhere on the Internet. It was when Patrick Connor saw the news pop up on his phone that he was surprised that Adrian was with Lola rather than being with Ava. He called Adrian's cell phone number but he wouldn't answer his phone. He called Clem and the latter answered saying he saw the news and the scene of an open kissing Adrian was having with Lola. “What about Ava, where is she?” Patrick Connor asked and for a few minutes, Clem couldn't respond. He was uncertain of the answer he should give. “Where is Ava, Clem?” Patrick Connor asked again, this time, a possibility popped up in his head. Could it be that Adrian stood her up for Lola? “I wish I had answers, but right now, I don't have any. I'll call the Lester mansion to confirm” Clem declared and hung up. Patrick Connor sighed helplessly. He changed into another clothes and got his pull over on. Took his car keys and waited to receive Clems call. It wasn't quite two minutes, Clem called and said “Ava was last seen at Charvid park…” before he could finish his words, Patrick hung up,got into his car and raced in the direction of the park, afraid that something might have happened to Ava. Clem also got in his car and went in that direction. It was Clem’s call that made the Lester family know that Adrian was having a romantic evening with Lola and Ava was left in the storm. Even Anna Lester felt bad with her son's actions. Old man Lester couldn't even raise his head in shame. This is all his fault. He should be blamed for whatever happens to Ava Leon. When Patrick arrived at the park, the security men were helping a woman stand on her feet but she couldn't. She was freezing already and couldn't even open her eyes, her teeth chattering. Patrick Connor recognised her. It cannot be someone else, it's definitely Ava Leon, Adrian Lester's wife. “Ava” Patrick Connor called in a horrified tone.
