Footsteps rush in our direction. Klaus and Alpha Dane show up. The dead Lycan is the first thing they see. As their gazes return to me and they notice that I am just wearing a jacket, neither of them says anything. "You shifted?" Klaus asks softly. "Fully?" I stay put. The Raven splutters, "She did." "She shifted, and she killed him without hesitation." "Jenson?" Alpha Dane asks, averting his gaze from me to gaze at his brother, who is comatose. Raven tells me the same thing again. "Klaus, help Raven take him to the hospital." He replaces the jacket Raven gave me with his own shirt as soon as they're gone. This time, it was longer and barely touched my thighs. I tilt my face up to see him while his finger rests beneath my chin. "You enjoyed it, didn't you?" I was reluctant to say yes. I had never felt stronger, but I didn't want to tell him.
