Chapter 982: Deep Water and Fire
The horse battle lasted until dusk. The allied forces of the tribes, with at least several times more troops than the enemy, still failed to drive the Ming cavalry out of the battlefield. Dead and wounded people and horses were scattered all over the valley.
After both sides withdrew their troops, the Ming army finally stopped pursuing the Mongolian army the next morning. They had limited manpower and horses, and they were probably unable to continue to pursue the Mongolian army for the time being.
