“How are we supposed to sleep after that?” I muttered, my face pressed against the unyielding planes of Leonardo’s chest. We’d been escorted back to our chambers — with a guard of twelve. I wasn’t sure whether to feel insulted. Leonardo and I could easily handle more than twelve men, Fae or otherwise. Once inside, we fell into bed, plunging the room into darkness as we replayed the evening’s events.
