Chapter 2 How Dare You Hit Me

Jonah's eyes sparkled as he leaned back on the sofa, a smile playing on his lips. “Is that so? Well then, why don't you start by taking off your clothes?” Filled with humiliation, Zinnia had no other option but to do as he said to save Torin! Wiping away her tears, she slowly removed her coat to reveal the form-fitting dress she wore underneath. Licking his lips, Jonah commanded in a deep voice, “Keep undressing!” Zinnia's hand moved behind her, finding the zipper. She then slowly pulled it down, revealing a stretch of her pristine, luminescent back. At that moment, Torin had just stepped into the club. Seeing the surroundings, his heart sank. Why would Zinnia come to a place like this? “Sir, could you please present your membership identification?” an attendant stepped forward to ask. In high-end clubs like these, one typically needed to be a registered member to patronize it. Torin said, “I'm looking for someone.” The attendant's tone turned icy. “I apologize. If you're not a member, please leave immediately!” Torin furrowed his brows, his mind solely focused on finding Zinnia immediately. He didn't have time for idle chatter. With that, he swiftly moved past the attendant and dashed toward the staircase. The attendant was taken aback and shouted, “Security! Stop him!” Five security guards in the lobby rushed over, but Torin was too fast. He was on the second floor in a flash. Torin had sought help to locate Zinnia's exact whereabouts and knew she was currently in the Royal Room, a private room on the third floor of the club. He moved with incredible speed. Before the security could even reach the third floor, he had already made his way to the private room. Then, he pushed the door open and entered. As soon as the door opened, he saw Zinnia. She was in the process of removing her dress, just beginning to reveal her smooth, bare shoulders and back. Upon seeing an intruder, Jonah was surprised. He then swiftly rose to his feet, shouting angrily, “Who are you!” Torin ignored him, striding over to Zinnia's side. Silently, he adjusted her disheveled clothes, then zipped her back up, simply stating, “Come with me.” Torin's abrupt appearance had Zinnia's emotions becoming a mix of shock and elation. She exclaimed with a quivering voice, “Torin! You're out? Weren't you sick?” Torin gazed at her and replied, “I was released from prison early.” At that moment, Jonah finally saw clearly that the person who arrived was none other than Torin! He was stunned. How did Torin get out of prison early? He had once sent someone to inquire about Torin's situation and learned that Torin had medical skills and had managed to heal a significant number of inmates and prison guards while in jail. As a result, his sentence was reduced, and he was due to be released in two months. Upon learning that Torin was about to be released from prison, Jonah knew he was running out of time. He then threatened Zinnia with Torin's life, forcing her to submit to him. In order to achieve his goal, he had bribed the staff responsible for visitation approval years ago. Consequently, Zinnia's multiple visitation requests, submitted over a dozen times, had all been rejected by the prison authorities. Unaware of this, Torin mistakenly assumed that Zinnia was unwilling to visit him in prison. The sudden arrival of Torin completely disrupted all of Jonah's plans, leaving him both shocked and furious! However, he was quite cunning. He scoffed and said, “Torin, you escaped from prison, didn't you?” He was unaware that Torin, having saved several influential figures, had his sentence reduced again, leading to his early release from prison. As for the details of these influential figures, Jonah, given his status, simply had no right to know. Naturally, he was also in the dark about Torin's early release. Zinnia was taken aback, her voice trembling as she asked, “Torin, did you escape from prison?” Torin glared at Jonah, his voice cold as he commanded, “Get out!” Jonah was a notorious bad boy in Hofcaster, always the one to bully others. Hence, Torin's command had him seething with anger. He let out a sinister chuckle, retorting, “You dare to speak to me like that? Are you tired of living? In front of me, you're nothing more than an insignificant bug. I could crush you with a single finger!” Torin looked at Jonah, his eyes filled with contempt. Having spent three years in prison, he had experienced more than his fair share. He, a master of martial arts and a renowned healer of his time, would hardly consider someone as insignificant as Jonah worth his attention. Torin spoke coldly. “I'll say it again - get out!” Infuriated, Jonah bellowed, “Do you have any idea who I am, punk? In this city of Hofcaster, I, Jonah Dawson, am the king. No one dares to speak to me like this! If you're brave enough, just wait right here!” Torin wore a blank expression, completely ignoring him. Fuming with anger, Jonah stormed out of the room, heading toward the other private rooms to rally his men. He was intent on teaching Torin a harsh lesson! Seeing that, Zinnia hurriedly exclaimed, “Torin, you must leave quickly!” Torin scornfully asked, “Why should I leave?” Just moments ago, Zinnia had exposed her shoulder to Jonah, which resulted in Torin having an extremely negative impression of Jonah. Zinnia was frantic, almost pleading with him, “The Dawson family has a powerful influence in Hofcaster, so we can't compete with them. Torin, I beg you, please leave quickly...” Before she could finish speaking, a group of people had already barged in. Leading them was Jonah. Behind him were five tall and burly henchmen, each with a menacing appearance, clearly no good characters. “Get him! Beat him to a pulp!” Jonah roared. His plans had been ruined, and he had been belittled. By now, he utterly despised Torin. The five men sneered, encircling Torin. A long-haired man let out a chilling laugh. “Kid, what do you prefer, breaking your legs first or your arms?” Torin looked at him, his voice icy as he declared, “For that remark alone, I'll break an arm and a leg of yours!” The man with long hair flew into a rage, his fist hurtling toward Torin's face. He was trained in boxing, so his punch was fierce and swift. Without moving an inch, Torin threw a punch with equal intensity. Their fists collided with a solid impact. Crack! The man with long hair's wrist broke while his finger bones shattered, causing him to let out a horrific scream. Clutching his hand, he staggered backward. Torin took a step forward, and with a swift kick, he broke the man's left leg. His voice was calm as he said, “I told you I would break one of your hands and one of your legs.” The remaining four were taken aback, each retreating in fear as they looked at Torin. At that moment, Torin emanated an intimidating aura that was enough to strike fear into anyone's heart! Jonah was initially taken aback, then burst into hearty laughter. He pointed at Torin and said, “Torin, for injuring my subordinate, you're looking at a minimum of three years! Go back and serve your time in prison! Hahaha!” A wave of despair washed over Zinnia. Had Torin just been released from prison, only to be sent back again? Suddenly, she pleaded with Jonah, “Jonah, I beg you, please let Torin go...” Jonah wore a smug expression. “Let him go? Sure! But you must service me in front of him!” Shock coursed through Zinnia at how utterly shameless Jonah was. Enraged, Torin bellowed, “You're courting death!” Jonah sneered, “Hey, Torin, do you believe that I have ways to put you behind bars for life?” Boom! The air stirred violently as Torin appeared before Jonah in an instant. He reached out to grab Jonah's neck and hoisted him into midair. Jonah was terrified. He was unable to breathe, his feet kicking wildly in fear, his complexion slowly turning a worrying shade of purple. At that moment, the security guard stationed at the entrance promptly dialed the police. Jonah was on the verge of suffocation when, out of the blue, Torin slapped him twice before throwing him to the ground. “Ah! You dare to hit me!” Jonah was left dazed and disoriented from the fall. He was on the verge of losing his mind. Never in his life had he been slapped across the face, let alone choked! He just couldn't come to terms with it! Torin coldly warned, “Utter one more word, and I'll take you down right here!” At that moment, a chilling light surged in Torin's eyes, which frightened Jonah so much that he swallowed his next words, not daring to make a peep!
