Unfortunately for Roshene, Carson was returning to London that night, the month had flown by and that only made her anxious and sad. Since the last encounter with Maximilien in the kitchen, they had not crossed paths again, not even in the hallways, and if they did happen to see each other on occasion, they completely ignored each other. At least that wasn't so bad, as they hadn't argued again and that was a big step forward, at least for her. The table for dinner was already set and ready, Carson had informed that he would arrive in time for dinner, so Roshene, with all the displeasure in the world, had to come down to eat with the Barclays that night, and just the thought of sharing the same table with them made a knot form in her stomach, even worse when she imagined the inquisitive looks of Maximilien and Marina.
