Alessandra wanted to resist, evade, and push away from the embrace even though every fiber of her being was screaming for the opposite. However, feeling the warmth of his muscular chest, how comforting it was to have those strong arms around her again, and the rush of sensations her body went through upon hearing that sincere "I love you," made her stop rejecting him and let herself be carried away by everything her heart was feeling. She hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck, and Dominic felt something inside him come back to life. He held her tighter against him, all the while whispering in her ear how much he loved her. He didn't stop telling her, repeating it over and over so that she would understand and have no doubt left. "Dominic," she heard her call softly, moments after they were engulfed in that deep embrace, in which, for some reason, they lost track of time. She felt her resistance return and a desire to free herself from the captivity of his arms, however, she didn't allow it, not anymore.
