Chapter 3 Mind Blowing

Neil was completely stunned, feeling the fresh blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. In a trembling voice, he uttered, “You... You dared to hit me?” “Hit you? For an animal like you, it wouldn't be too much even if I killed you!” Huxley barked, swiftly delivering two kicks. Crack! Crack! The sound of bones shattering echoed twice. Neil's knees had been shattered. The pain was so intense that he let out an agonizing scream. He collapsed to the ground with a thud, clutching his legs as he continued to wail in pain. Everyone present was dumbstruck. The burly man, Tyga, was equally startled when he realized something. “An expert! A martial arts expert!” Without another word, he swiftly pulled out a Beretta M21 pistol from within his jacket, disengaged the safety, and ordered in a stern voice, “Don't move. Raise your hands! If you so much as twitch, I'll shoot! I've already aimed at your forehead.” True to his profession as a bodyguard, he had undergone special training. He drew his gun, took aim, and issued a warning, executing those actions with swift precision. Huxley threw him a sideways glance, his voice grave as he said, “You're just a bodyguard, paid to do someone else's bidding. This case has nothing to do with you. I don't want to harm you, so go!” “Just as you said, I'm paid to do this, so I have to do my job. If I run away from this critical moment, how will I survive in the future?” Tyga exclaimed loudly. “I admired your guts! I'll grant you your wish then!” Huxley nodded, his left hand clenched tightly, his knuckles crackling. It was clear he was gathering his strength, ready to throw a punch. “Don't move! Your fists are no match for my bullets,” Tyga warned. “That's not necessarily the case!” Huxley shouted, launching himself forward. Whoosh! “Your bullets can't catch up with my Three Inch Punch!” His figure lunged forward like a hawk, his fearsome punch aimed directly at Tyga. “What?” Tyga's face drained of color, realizing it was too late to pull the trigger. Thud! A punch landed squarely in his stomach. Its impact was devastating, so intense that Tyga felt like his insides were churning. A salty sensation welled up in his throat. Pfft! He spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, staggering back several steps. His eyes were wide open in shock. “Who... Who... exactly are you?” “You're a man, so I won't kill you! Just get yourself warded into hospital for a few weeks, and stay out of my way!” Huxley lifted his foot, and in an instant, launched a whip kick. It happened so swiftly that no one could clearly see it coming. The impact sent Tyga hurtling through the air. He crashed through the automatic glass doors and landed unconscious on the hood of a luxury sedan. Despite all that had happened, it didn't take more than fifteen seconds. Everyone present was utterly astounded, their eyes wide and mouths agape. Even Neil, who was sprawled on the ground with both legs broken, had a face brimming with fear. “I'll ask you one more time,” Huxley said, his gaze as cold as ice as it was fixed on Neil. “Who's pulling the strings behind the scenes? And... where's the surveillance footage?” Neil's voice trembled as he asked, “Can you promise not to kill me?” “Sure.” There was no hint of emotion in Huxley's voice. “It was Lorcan Zander.” Neil swallowed before continuing, “Two hours after the incident, he had someone buy all the surveillance footage and destroy all the hard drives. If you want to vent... go find him!” “Really?” Huxley crouched down, his gaze fixed on Neil's eyes, attempting to see through the latter to discern if he was lying. “I'm telling you the truth.” Neil nodded vigorously. “Alright, I trust you.” Huxley nodded. His right index finger curled, forming a cone shape, and he playfully tapped Neil's body dozens of times. Neil felt a chill creeping up his arms and legs, his whole body stiffening. His vision gradually darkened and a wave of weakness washed over him, causing him to slump down. An overwhelming sense of fear seized him. He croaked desperately, “You promised not to kill me... You gave your word...” “I did promise not to kill you, but I never said anything about not reducing you to a cripple, forced to survive on IV drips for the rest of your life...” Huxley stood up, his face void of any emotion, resembling the Grim Reaper. “Rest assured, I swear you won't be the last one to endure this kind of pain.” Having said that, Huxley left with his head held high, never once looking back. Outside the door, countless police officers swarmed in. However, none of them were there to apprehend him. Instead, they respectfully bowed toward him in a show of respect before all of them poured into the office. “Neil Zimmerman, you are charged with illegal business operations!” “Neil Zimmerman, you're currently suspected of involvement in bribery!” “Neil Zimmerman, you are suspected of being involved in a homicide case from six years ago!” One after another, arrest warrants were shown. It was just a shame that Neil had already gone blind, unable to see them. However, his mind was blown.
