Chapter 41 The Devil Attacks (2)

She rushed to Katrina and tried to pick her up again, droplets of blood dripping on her face, “Layla stop! Go! Get away!” she wanted her to leave her alone but she couldn't, she just couldn't. She managed to pick her up, bridal style, trying to head to the door, but the devil was coming with a swing which they narrowly evaded. It caused Layla to be off balance and they toppled to the ground, in a rather painful thud. Layla was more concerned about Katrina even though her blood had stained her face, she was moving closer to her until he jumped on her and began to throw blows at her. Layla made sure to block her face, but if she kept her arms up for even just a bit longer, they would eventually break from the force of his hits. She used her leg to trip him and grabbed the closest thing, a bottle, and smashed it on his face.
