Chapter 55 It Was What He Needed

Laughter from the kitchen greets Ragnar as he arrives at the mansion. He walks over there and watches Katrina interact with her mother and sister from the doorway. He can't deny that she seems calmer and more relaxed since they arrived here. His mother is also much more smiley than usual, and that somehow pleases him. Without any of them noticing that he has arrived, he turns around and goes up to his room, takes off his clothes, and goes straight into the shower. Cold water always manages to relax him, so he stays there for some time with his eyes closed until his bathroom door is opened abruptly, startling him.
