Hungry and greedy! Chen Shiyan couldn’t control her mouthwatering. But he didn’t prepare the food for her at all. Chen Shiyan rolled her eyes, stood behind Su Chen, and clenched her fist, shaking it a few times, as if venting her dissatisfaction and displeasure. She let out a soft sigh. Chen Shiyan turned towards the kitchen door, pushing the baby stroller, and started playing in the living room. "Luo Luo, Auntie will take you on a flight!" "Look, how fast are we going?" Chen Shiyan pushed the baby stroller back and forth. "Oh my... giggle giggle..." Luo Luo danced with joy. It seemed like they often played this game, and Luo Luo wasn’t afraid at all; she even had a smile on her little face. Su Chen couldn’t help but glance over. He didn’t expect this unexpected godmother to have such a good rapport with Luo Luo. Seeing Chen Shiyan making Luo Luo laugh, Su Chen reluctantly accepted Chen Shiyan as Luo Luo’s godmother. Cooking was nearing completion. Since Luo Luo had her own dinner plate, Bai Qianqian had also prepared one for Su Chen. So, all the food was divided between these two plates. After preparing dinner, Su Chen walked over, pushed the baby stroller, and arrived in the dining room. "Luo Luo, it’s time for dinner." Su Chen smiled as he gently pinched Luo Luo’s chubby cheeks. He placed the smaller dinner plate in front of her. Luo Luo awkwardly held the spoon and was about to start eating. The dining room was filled with a mouthwatering aroma. Su Chen sat on Luo Luo’s right, while Chen Shiyan took the seat on her left. "Luo Luo, Auntie will feed you." Chen Shiyan smiled faintly. She didn’t even spare a glance at Su Chen, but her stomach betrayed her with a few growls. “I’m so hungry!” “This guy, I absolutely won’t eat the food he’s made!” "But why does this food smell so delicious?" Chen Shiyan’s gaze shifted to the food on her plate. She glanced at the chicken and vegetable meatballs, their pure meaty aroma incredibly tempting. The carp soup emitted a fragrant aroma even from a distance. "There are... seven meatballs on the plate." "There’s a lot of carp soup too." "Luo Luo won’t be able to finish all of this." "Stay patient, I’ll go out to eat later." she reassured herself. Chen Shiyan struggled for a few seconds, then smiled as she fed Luo Luo. Just as she was serving a spoonful of chicken cake... Su Chen gave her a glance and said, "No need to feed Luo Luo; she can eat on her own." Teaching their daughter to be independent was one of Su Chen’s main goals. At lunchtime, it was Luo Luo who ate ice cream and marshmallows all by herself. Clang! Chen Shiyan’s arm stiffened. She lifted her beautiful eyes and said fiercely, "Hey, Su Chen, I’ve been patient with you for a long time!" Ignoring me and accusing me of being a freeloader, do you think you can get away with it? Chen Shiyan continued, "I’ve been Luo Luo’s godmother for nearly a year now. Every time I come here, I feed her. Why is it any different when you’re here? You’re just a part-time father. Su Chen said, shifting his gaze away while continuing to eat. "I’m not leaving. I’m going to stay and make you mad." Chen Shiyan retorted. Rolling her eyes, she began to feed Luo Luo the chicken cake and whispered, "Luo Luo, godmother and your father are just teasing each other. It’s not a fight. Don’t be scared, eat your food." Chen Shiyan’s caring demeanor towards Luo Luo, and Luo Luo’s obedient eating, made Su Chen realize that they had been in each other’s company for quite some time. After all, Luo Luo was used to having Chen Shiyan around. So, he decided to let her continue feeding Luo Luo. Changing Luo Luo’s habit of depending on others and improving her soft personality wouldn’t happen overnight. "Daddy, your cooking is delicious." "Daddy, you’re amazing! You’re my hero!" After Luo Luo took a few bites of her meal, she praised Su Chen with a sweet, childlike voice. "Ha, if you like it, eat more." Su Chen chuckled. Seeing his daughter’s smile and his own reflection in her, Chen Shiyan couldn’t help but steal a few more glances. "It"s no wonder Qingning was interested in him back then." she thought. "Godmother isn’t hungry." Chen Shiyan replied, somewhat reluctantly. However, her gaze remained fixed on that tempting meatball. "Hmm." Luo Luo pouted and stubbornly lifted her little arms. "Alright, fine. Godmother will take a bite." Chen Shiyan conceded with a soft huff. She glanced at Su Chen, conveying an unspoken message: If it weren’t for Luo Luo, I wouldn’t touch your food! She took a bite of the meatball. The succulent chicken flavor instantly filled her mouth. Oh my! This chicken was incredibly flavorful! It was the first time she had ever tasted chicken so delicious. She couldn’t help but think, "I’m definitely going out to have a whole chicken later!" As she continued chewing, the taste of vegetables started to emerge after the chicken flavor faded away. "Oh my goodness!" "Is this a vegetable meatball?" "Could it be that the ones I used to eat were fake?" "It"s so delicious!" Without even realizing it, she had devoured the entire meatball. Chen Shiyan snapped back to reality. Driven by hunger and the exquisite taste of the food, she, a self-proclaimed snack enthusiast, couldn’t resist. Her captivating peach blossom eyes and her slightly parted, sensual red lips had an irresistibly seductive effect on men. However, Su Chen didn’t even look up. Observing this, Chen Shiyan glanced at the remaining food on Su Chen’s plate. She thought, "Well then, here goes nothing!" "Woof, woof, woof, woof." Su Chen accepted Chen Shiyan, finding her to be optimistic, cheerful, and unpretentious, just like when she imitated a dog’s bark. This was in stark contrast to his daughter’s delicate nature, and he believed that spending more time with Chen Shiyan would have a positive influence on his daughter’s personality. "Then I won’t be polite." Chen Shiyan said, eagerly taking Su Chen’s dinner plate. If it were anyone else, she wouldn’t have eaten from a plate that had been used by another man before. But the temptation of the food was simply too strong this time. Chen Shiyan took a pair of clean chopsticks and a spoon, then smiled at Luo Luo and said, "Good girl, Godmother will eat with you." "Daughter, Daddy will play with your toys with you." "Yeah, that sounds great!" Luo Luo responded happily. So, father and daughter left the dining room. Before leaving, Su Chen left a message: "Now that you are full, go clean up the dining room and kitchen." Chen Shiyan was taken aback, "Hey? You want me to do the dirty work? Do you really think I’m someone who does odd jobs?" "If you won’t do it, don’t come over for a free meal next time." came Su Chen’s nonchalant voice from outside the door. "Alright then, sir, take your time, I"ll tidy it up now." With a sly grin, Chen Shiyan replied, lifted her arms, sat down on a chair, silently scolded Su Chen for several sentences, and then got up to get busy in the kitchen.
