Evening comes and Adelaide has no choice but to ask Irene for help again in preparing the dreaded dinner for Egil with that Ana Lupot, as he had requested before going to the office. She completely forgot about it and now she is desperate to arrive on time and not be scolded like in the morning. Irene and she go together to the kitchen. The maids look at her with contempt, but a single warning look from Irene puts them all in their place.
