Chapter 9 - The Transformation

“It didn't take long for night to fall, the moon in the sky was nearly full, indicating that the transformation was near. I felt my breath grow heavy, my instincts sharpened, and I could hear an owl in the background of the forest. On the ground, I could feel a snake slithering towards a nearby burrow. I looked out the open window, sniffing the various scents that lingered in the forest, from the dew on a plant to the damp mist that enveloped the forest. “I'm scared…” I confessed, clenching my hands. The wolf remained mysteriously seated, not saying a word.
