Chloe could feel her frustration building. "Aiden, Liam is my friend," she said firmly. "I'm allowed to have other people in my life." Aiden shook his head, a look of disbelief on his face. "I just don't know how much more of this I can take," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. And with that, he stormed out of the room, leaving Chloe standing there, feeling confused and hurt.
