Chapter 7 : Matchmaking Duo
Nineteenth floor of the apartment.
Jian Xi arrived at the doorstep and pressed the doorbell.
Wang Qing rushed to open the door, looking particularly guilty. "You're back. They're already asleep. You should go back to your room and rest."
"Asleep? They didn't have jet lag?"
Jian Xi glanced at the two little ones' rooms and startled Wang Qing. She quickly pulled her to the sofa. "They might be tired. Kids probably adapt better than us."
"That's true." With something on her mind, Jian Xi sat on the sofa with Wang Qing and went straight to the point. "Wang Qing, I made an agreement with Li Bo Ting to pretend to be a couple. I don't want him to know about Little Sun and Little Cloud, so I'm entrusting them to you. Put aside your work for now and focus on taking care of them."
"Alright, don't worry. I'll take good care of them."
Wang Qing was not only her personal assistant but also the nanny for the two little ones, so she understood Jian Xi very well and didn't ask for the reason.
"Squeak... Squeak..."
Suddenly, there was a strange noise outside the security door, making Jian Xi alert. "What's that sound? Could there be mice in the apartment?"
"It's impossible. Maybe it's some electrical appliance making the noise. You should go back to your room and rest. I'll go check."
The strange noise was actually a signal from Little Sun and Little Cloud. Wang Qing felt extremely guilty and quickly escorted Jian Xi back to her room.
"Ding ding..."
Jian Xi's phone rang just in time. It was a message from Li Bo Ting: "Tomorrow evening at six, you need to come with me to meet Grandma."
Seeing the situation, Wang Qing hurriedly ran outside and closed the door.
"Squeak... Squeak..."
The two little ones outside the suite were still sending signals.
Wang Qing ran over and opened the door, putting a finger to her lips, indicating that Jian Xi had returned.
The two little ones nodded knowingly, then quickly ran back to their room, changed into their sleepwear, and returned to the living room.
Jian Xi had just come out of her room and was about to go to the kitchen to pour some water when she saw the two of them and was surprised. "Didn't you two go to sleep?"
The two mischievous kids tilted their heads and smiled mischievously. "We tricked Wang Qing. We actually couldn't sleep at all."
Well, that's more like it!
Jian Xi didn't think much of it and continued walking towards the kitchen.
The two mischievous kids stopped her and pulled her to the sofa. Little Sun pointed to the coffee table in front of the long sofa. "Mom, sit here. We have something to say."
This little rascal rarely acted so serious, so Jian Xi couldn't help but pay attention. She followed his lead and sat on the coffee table.
The two little ones wiggled their bottoms and climbed onto the long sofa, facing her while casually hugging their shoulders.
Little Sun didn't hide his intention to sell off his mother. "Mom, I have to remind you to pay attention to your age. You're not a young and beautiful girl anymore. We would be very happy if someone could take you away."
Sitting beside him, Little Cloud added with a smile, "That's right, Mommy. You're no longer a fairy like me. I'm really worried about you."
As she spoke, the little girl hugged her brother's neck and pressed her rosy face against his handsome face. "Mommy, look, how can such a beautiful fairy and handsome prince not have a daddy? That would be too cruel, right?"
"Yes, Mommy, you have to work harder. We hope you can escape the life of a single dog soon. Occasionally eating dog food is quite enjoyable."
Little Sun hugged his sister's small body, chuckled foolishly, and then pulled her off the sofa.
Little Cloud waved at Jian Xi with a smile. "Mommy, think about it when you can't sleep. I think there will be a suitable candidate for our daddy around you. Trust me, my sixth sense is very accurate."
The siblings completed their plan and ran back to their room.
Jian Xi sat heavily on the coffee table and let out a sigh.
This matchmaking duo was really giving her a headache. Kids with an IQ of 180 are truly little devils!
