Chapter 7 Why Is She Not Scared?

They arrived at the bar a minute later since it was one of the closest bars which was not too far from their home. Bianca offered the car key to the valet who had approached her immediately he had spotted her driving into the driveway with a car. Isabella opened the door and stepped down from the car before she locked it. "Is this the place?", Isabella asked as she walked to where Bianca was standing while waiting for her. "Of course", Bianca responded and she took Isabella's hand then led the way into the bar. Immediately they entered, music started booming from every corner, with lights twinkling above the middle of the room. It was noisy and filled with a bunch of people, who were dancing on the dance floor and screaming along with the music. Bianca held her wrist firmly so they wouldn't lose hold of themselves while they both snaked their way through the crowd till they arrived at the bar where there was enough space that they could breath. It was Isabella's first time here so she was trying to adjust to the new environment. "I can't stay here", Isabella leaned closer and yelled over the loud music, feeling irritated by the smell of cigarettes and alcohol. Apart from that, she couldn't hear the sound of her voice due to the loud sound of music. "Relax...", Bianca said loudly so Isabella could hear her over the loud sounds of the music and the crowd hailing. "We are only here for your one night stand and nothing more", She assured. "Now look around, did you find anyone?"She asked loudly as she took her seat on one of the chairs at the bar. "Bianca”, Isabella tried to protest but Bianca totally ignored her as she made her order. “Drinks for the ladies”, The bartender with a rolled-up sleeve tossed two glasses filled with alcohol towards them on the counter which Bianca grasped hold of. “Here”, Bianca offered her a glass to Isabella and she collected it without hesitation. Isabella brought the glass to her lips but paused when she inhaled the smell of alcohol. She hated alcohol so much and even the smell of it. She placed the cup on the desk and turned to Bianca who had already gulped down the alcohol and placed the empty cup back on the table. “Did you drink it?”, Bianca asked, then grabbed Isabella’s cup from the table to confirm if she have drank it, but she haven’t. “Come on, drink it”, She urged as she shoved the cup into Isabella’s hand. “Bianca I don't…” “DRINK IT”, Bianca ordered in a serious tone which scared Isabella. Immediately, Isabella closed her eyes, held her breath as she tilted her head backward then brought the cup to her lips and poured the alcohol into her mouth before she gulped in all at once. Isabella lowered her head and coughed hard as the alcohol burnt down in her throat. It was her first time taking alcohol and she didn't expect it to taste so bad. “How do you feel?”, Bianca asked with a full smile on her lips when Isabella had recovered from her first trail. “Bad”, Isabella said, looking dismayed. She frowned her face as she could still taste the bitterness of the alcohol in her tongue. “Give us two more”, Bianca gave her orders to the bartender once again and he hurriedly filled their two glasses with alcohol. “Drink up '', Bianca shoved another drink in her hands and Isabella did not hesitate before she poured the drink into her mouth and swallowed it hard. She closed her eyes as she felt her throat burnt due to the alcohol. Isabella dropped the empty glass down on the table. She suddenly felt dizzy and didn't think that she would be able to take another shot. “Don't tell me you have low tolerance for alcohol?”, Bianca asked as she shoved another glass of alcohol into Isabella’s hand. Isabella took the glass once again and gulped in the whole content before she stamped the cup on the counter. “I don’t feel good Bianca”, She felt her eyes slightly closing but she forced them open again to look at Bianca who was smirking devilishly at her. “Relax-xxx…I will go get someone for you”, Bianca assured and Isabella could feel her heart beating rapidly in fear, scared that Bianca might leave her here alone. Isabella felt uneasy and her gaze suddenly became blurred as the alcohol was reacting so badly over her body. “Please just take me home Bianca”, She pleaded as she grasped Bianca’s hand, trying to stop her from leaving. Bianca yanked her hand out from Isabella’s grip and gestured her to sit on the chair. “Everything will be fine”, She leaned closer and whispered into Isabella's ear. She moved back and walked away. Isabella stepped down from the chair and staggered towards Bianca who was walking into a dark hallway. She knew if she had to follow Bianca, she wouldn't be able to get to her. “Just stay there, I will be back soon”, That was the last word she heard from Bianca before she disappeared into the dark hallway. Isabella placed her hand on her head and staggered backwards. Her mind was drowsy and mixed with thought, wondering why Bianca had left her behind when she needed her the most, especially in her condition. “My phone”, She said and began to trail her hand around her body in-search of the phone but couldn’t find it. She wanted to call her mom to come pick her up but it recalled to her that she had left it at home. Isabella turned to the crowd on the dance-floor and staggered towards them. She had to find her way out of this place since Bianca isn’t anywhere around her. Even though it was her first time here she could still remember that she and Bianca had came in through this place. She badly wants to leave this place as she felt insecure since she was alone. When making her way past the throng of people dancing, Isabella spotted a towering figure in front of her view who was approaching the bar in a black hat which was hiding his face and a black suit. Immediately an idea popped into her head,” Maybe asking a stranger for help isn’t a bad thing to do right”, Isabella thought as she pushed her way through the crowd but suddenly lost her balance and stumbled towards the man. She instinctively reached out and grasped the man’s collar with both hands, bringing the man down to her while he quickly wrapped one hand around her waist and rested the other in her back as he caught her steadily from falling. The man’s hat fell down from his head and his shoulder length hair loosen and fell across his handsome face, causing a loud scream from the crowd when his hidden identity had been revealed. Isabella’s whole body stayed stilled in the strong man’s embrace as her gaze was glued to his light green eyes which were so charming that it melted her heart instantly. She squeezed her hand on his shirt, holding it firmly as she was so lost in her admiration of this gorgeous man. “You should be scared”, The man said sternly as he stared coldly into her brown eyes but was shocked that she wasn’t moved by his dangerous gaze. ‘Who is she?’, He looked down at Isabella with a trace of inquiry in his eyes. She should be scared of him but why isn’t she showing any sign of fear?
