Chapter 16 Dominic's Prowess

The bald man in question was Griffin, the one who took over Montes Group. At that moment, he was sitting in the minivan and looking at Sebastian fiercely. With an arm hanging on the seat, he emanated bloodlust. "You never thought that I would somehow get out of lockup, did you?" Wearing a hospital gown, Griffin slapped the cast on his arm and laughed evilly. "I want to thank you for breaking my arm. Because of you, I was admitted to the hospital and got the chance to escape from there. You son of a b*tch, you're the King of War, isn't it? Well I'm the boss of the underground world in Rithfield! Let's see which one of us here is more capable tonight!" Griffin's words were accompanied by the laughter of the gangsters in the car. "You sure are arrogant, Griffin!" With an angry gaze, Dominic was about to go for his own gun. He understood now that Griffin escaped from the hospital for the sole purpose of seeking revenge against Sebastian. Are we really held hostage by these rascals now? The situation they were in angered yet amused Dominic at the same time. Setting the fact that two of them being elite soldiers aside, they were both the highest ranking members of the Rithfield Garrison, so they were naturally allowed to carry firearms. Does Griffin think that they can kidnap us just by bringing a couple of gangsters? Once me and Sebastian make our moves, we can dispose of them within seconds. "Let him get drunk on his arrogance. I want to know where his base is." Sebastian lightly held Dominic's gun and whispered to him. "What do you mean?" Dominic was shocked. "I want to get to the root of the problem and dispose of them all at once," Sebastian stated. Being a kind person, Sebastian did not calculate that Griffin would escape from the hospital and kidnap him. Yet, he did not get furious like Dominic did. Instead, he kept his calm, thinking that he could use this chance to get rid of Griffin and his goons. As expected, he was right on the mark. Griffin was the boss of the underground world in Rithfield. However, his worry now was that he might have to choose between discarding these rascals or making it in time for Sandy's party. As such, he took out his phone to take a peek. "What are you two talking about?" Griffin became cautious. With a calm gaze, Sebastian, who sat opposite him, remained silent whereas Dominic also suppressed his anger and stared at Griffin coldly. "I said, what the hell were you two talking about!?" Griffin's patience had started to run low as he bellowed at the two. "We didn't say anything," Sebastian replied. "Now that both of you are in my hands, you better stop being so cheeky. Otherwise, I'll kill you on the spot!" Griffin tapped Sebastian face with the machete. "Oh, I wouldn't." Sebastian was a bit angry now. He marked this moment in his heart. "Son of a b*tch. You're rich, aren't you?" Griffin asked after some thoughts. "A little," Sebastian responded. "How much is a little? Be honest now, or I'll end you with a stab," threatened Griffin. "I can give you the amount you want," Sebastian said. "Tell your closest aide to send a hundred million my way then," Griffin ordered. "Okay," Sebastian agreed. "You're that rich? One billion—no—ten billion, then!" Griffin's eyes glimmered. "Sure," Sebastian said. Now that Griffin was wanted by the police, he would need to go into hiding after the escape tonight. Although he already knew who Sebastian was, the thought of him causing his downfall still enraged him. At that point, he did not care if Sebastian was the King of War, for he only remembered himself as the boss of all of the gangs in Rithfield. Since he had quite the number of men under his command, Griffin thought that Sebastian would be dead meat. Seeing that Sebastian could just fork over five billion to take over Montes Group, he thought that it would not be a problem for him to give him ten billion. Yet, he never predicted that Sebastian would agree so readily, which made him overjoyed. "I've been kidnapped. Prepare ten billion and send it to my location." Sebastian made a call. "Okay…" the person on the other side replied. Soon, Griffin's car reached a factory in the outskirts of the city. When they drove to the entrance, some gangsters with machetes strapped to their waists opened the shutter. Subsequently, they entered the factory. With a loud noise, the automatic shutter of the factory's shutter slowly closed as Sebastian and Dominic looked at all of Griffin's men. Numbering in the hundreds, they crowded the main hall and first floor of the factory. All of them had weapons with them and an evil smile. "Boss, how about we see who wins now?" Now that they finally reached Griffin's base, Dominic let out a confident smirk. "You still want to compete against me in a situation like this?" Sebastian was truly dumbfounded. "We're in their base now, we can deal with them once and for all. Let's see who can take down the most people, shall we?" Dominic lit a cigarette while smiling. "What? You want to fight us?" One of Griffin's men looked at him in disbelief. "I don't think you all know who I am, do you, b*stards? I'm Dominic Ward, the deputy commander of the Rithfield Garrison! I was one of the members in the top division, Divine Dragon Brigade! I was ranked first in the martial arts tournament in my area. Taking you small fries down is a walk in the park for me!" As soon as he finished speaking, he flung around and deflected the machetes that were resting on his neck. With a punch and two elbow attacks, he took down the three thugs by his side in a flash before dashing toward Griffin. Startled by the sight that Dominic was so skilled in martial arts that three of his men went down by his hands in an instant, Griffin was immediately frightened. With a few hurried steps back, he shouted toward his men. "Kill this f*cker!" "Griffin, I assure you that within ten minutes, I'll make you regret that you ever wanted to be the bad guy." Dominic smiled. Seeing that hundreds of men rushed toward him from the main hall and first floor, Dominic stepped back quickly to gain some distance between him and the thugs. Suddenly, he sprinted forward and charged a kick, bringing down a large number of enemies. One of the thugs wanted to ambush him with his machete, but Dominic managed to grab his wrist and threw him over his shoulder into the crowd. Then, another thug dashed toward him after which Dominic defeated him using only one punch. Next, he kicked the thug hard right on the chest, causing him to fly out like a bowling ball before hitting his allies. "This feels so good!" Dominic shouted in joy. The reverberated victory resounded throughout the factory. After that, he took off his shirt and suit in front of his enemies and showed his strong and toned body. Seeing that the thugs were staring in fear at the gun on his waist, Dominic smiled while emptying the bullets before disassembling it. With a smug face, he wriggled his fingers at his enemies.
