I surfaced back to the conscious world by hearing the clicking of keys, keyboard? But who…? I tried to get my sleep-addled brain thinking. A yelp escaped my mouth as soon as I opened my eyes because it wasn’t Clarissa who was waiting for me, but Isaac. It felt so strange to see him first thing in the morning, leaning against the headboard and reviewing something on a laptop and that was….something I had never thought I would see. “Morning,” he greeted without taking his eyes off the laptop. For a change, he wore a t-shirt which again was a little too tight for his frame, and a pair of black wire-framed glasses sat perched on his nose as he typed away at a lightning speed.
