Chapter 20 Insulting Move

When I woke up, it was midday. It didn’t feel like my whole body was being consumed by fire nor was there any mind-numbing pain. I was experiencing a strange calmness. At the back of my mind, I knew this was temporary bliss before another wave would wash over my body and once again, I’d have to seek the Alpha. The thought left an unpleasant bitterness in my mouth. “How do you feel, Luna?” Georgia’s voice cut through my thoughts. I blinked slowly before turning to the source and realized other than her, Clarissa and Vanessa were also present.
