Chapter 24 My Step-father 1

I stare at the time on the top of my phone. I've been sitting in the coffee shop not too far from the airport for over 20 minutes now and no one's yet to pick me up. My mother just got married after nearly eighteen months since my father and my mother had a divorce. They battled in court for quite a long time on who's gonna take custody of me. It was a little pointless if you ask me. Instead of spending so much money in court, why not ask the child in question? Well to cut the long story short, my mother won the court case and now I have to live with her. I hated the idea of coming to live with my mom. My mother isn't bad. Before my parents had a divorce, my mother and I were close. She was like my best friend. She was my favorite parent amongst my parents.
