Chapter 36 Unconscious

I didn't see it coming. I didn't see the kiss coming. But when the elevator began moving up, he leaned closer to me and took out a hanky; he gently cleaned the lipstick off my lips before leaning in for a kiss. Shocked by his actions, I could only stand there and watch as his soft lips moved against mine. When he saw that I wasn't opening up for him, he leaned away and slightly raised my jaw. He locked eyes with me and said, "Let me in; I don't know whether it was a threat or not," but his words sent shivers down my spine.
