Chapter 16 Consequences

Lucas sat in his leather chair behind his desk, gazing out of the floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the breathtaking view of his vast estate. In front of him was a bottle of wine picked from one of the finest breweries in France. A glass firmly placed by the side filled with the red wine, the sight of it made him think of blood. Taking a sip, the aroma of blackberries and oak filled his nostrils before he could have the desired taste he wanted at the tip of his tongue.
