Nico lay on the bed, his arms folded behind his head, staring at the ceiling like it held the answers. But all it gave him was silence—and he was starting to hate silence more than anything. Especially when it came from Giovanni. He hadn’t meant to leave like that. He really hadn’t. But everything had been too much. The looks. The tension. The feeling of being owned and not knowing if he even minded. And so he’d left, hoping some space would make things clearer.
