Chapter 7 A Devil

Nico couldn’t shake the anger that had been bubbling inside him since Leo’s call. Giovanni had orchestrated everything: tipped off the cops, set him up, and now he was playing the hero. Nico didn’t know why Giovanni had done it, but one thing was certain—he wasn’t going to let him get away with it. He slammed his fist on the steering wheel as he drove toward the bar. The night air was thick with tension, and his thoughts were racing. He couldn’t understand what Giovanni had gained from this twisted game. Why had he dragged Nico into it? What was Giovanni after? All these questions were tangled together, and Nico wasn’t leaving without answers.
