“What do you want, Nico?” Giovanni’s voice was calm, almost detached, as he stood by the corner of the room, a cigarette dangling lazily from his fingers. He watched Nico, the faint glow of the burning ember casting shadows over his face, his eyes cold and unyielding. Nico felt his heart racing, every inch of him burning with the frustration that had built up over the past few days. He had tried to ignore it, to push the anger and confusion down, but now it was too much. He needed answers. And Giovanni—Giovanni was the only one who could give them to him.
