Chapter 6 Fallen To King Alpha's
Nothing significant happened after we made our deal. I wasn't confined to my room; I could walk around the mansion only in certain rooms. I hadn't seen Elijah in a week, only Vincent occasionally.
I never ate in the dining room, preferring to eat in the kitchen with three other Omegas who worked here as maids: Flo, Kat, and Tris.
They'd all been working here for almost two decades since Elijah became Alpha King at twenty. The same was true for Vincent, who served as Beta and hadn't left Elijah's side in all those years.
They were careful with their words, and none mentioned the rumored curse on Elijah's former Luna.
"Hurry up with your meals," Kat urged her two friends. "We have a lot of work to do before tomorrow."
Tomorrow, the mansion will host a grand banquet to which all the families and alphas under Elijah's rule will be invited. The event will introduce Elijah's Luna, which is me.
A feeling of dread filled me. First, I couldn't eliminate my fear of the curse despite everything. Even if it seemed impossible because my agreement with Elijah was just a ruse, it was still unsettling.
Second, I was afraid that our act would somehow be discovered and everyone would realize I wasn't his Luna.
"Oh, Deli," Flo suddenly took both my hands. "You're so pale, darling! Don't worry, everything will be fine. You're going to be the Luna of King Elijah's kingdom. You should be happy."
"Yes, no matter what the rumors say about him being cold and ruthless, we've lived safely under his rule," Tris added.
I forced a smile. "I'm just a little nervous."
"I'll fix you a warm drink to help you relax. Try to get to bed a little early so you're refreshed in the morning," Kat said.
There was nothing to argue about. After we finished eating, I returned to my room while the others returned to work. As I entered my room, the familiar silence returned.
A knock at the door made me jump. I had just cleaned up and put on a nightgown. It must be Kat with the drink she promised.
Elijah's figure startled me as I opened the door. He was holding a tray with a drink, which he handed me.
"It's from Kat," he said.
I nodded and took it. "Oh, I'm sorry. I should have gone to the kitchen to get it..."
"It's okay."
I set the tray down on the table and glanced at Elijah. It had been a week since we last saw each other, and I felt strange happiness seeing him again.
Did I miss him?
"Delilah, since we're going to pretend to be a couple tomorrow, with you as my Luna, there's something that needs to be done," Elijah said without preamble.
"What is it?"
"You must become part of the pack so everyone knows we belong together."
I just nodded, trying to follow. "Alright. So how do we do that? I don't understand since I've only ever lived in Jeremy's pack."
Instead of answering, Elijah unbuttoned his shirt and let it fall to the ground.
"What are you doing?" I asked, feeling a rush of nervousness.
"Making you part of the pack."
It was the first time I'd seen his robust and chiseled frame, the muscles outlined under his skin. I couldn't look away for a moment, mesmerized by the sight.
My heart began to race, and something stirred inside me that I hadn't felt before. I couldn't take my eyes off him; his body was amazing.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked.
I shook my head quickly. The sensation I felt had to be Elijah's influence. He was an Alpha and not just any Alpha. He was a king, a power that could not be resisted. His very presence was overwhelming.
And he just stood there by the bed, looking at me intently. That look seemed to melt me from the inside out, and I felt a rising heat in my body.
Elijah walked over to me, taking me in his arms and gently guiding me to sit on the edge of the bed. I could not do anything but stare at his tantalizing body.
Then Elijah sat down next to me, his hand on the back of my neck, but I tried to pull away.
"Wait," I whispered, my breath coming quickly.
I pulled back immediately, climbing onto the bed and retreating to the far corner.
A strange, wild sensation overtook me, making me long for him, even though my better judgment warned me to keep my distance.
He climbed onto the bed, coming closer as his hand brushed over my shoulder and down my back. My breath caught.
"What does your wolf tell you?" he whispered, his voice a low growl.
I shook my head. "Nothing. I don't hear anything. I don't even have a wolf, remember?"
"You want to hear what my wolf says?"
Before I could answer, he grabbed my hands and pulled me in as his lips claimed mine in a deep, searing kiss.
An electric shock shot through me, and I felt the power of such dominance for the first time.
I'd shared tender kisses with Jeremy before, comforting and sweet.
But Elijah's kiss was different.
It felt wild as if he was taking me into a forest without restraint, awakening something in me that made me crave more than just sweetness.
One of his hands grabbed the collar of my nightgown, and in an instant, he tore it off, exposing me to him. All I could do was sit there and let him look at me; no, I wanted him to see me.
My wild mind craved his gaze, a feeling of devotion washing over me.
"You are mine, Delilah."
He pressed a bite between my neck and shoulder, and suddenly, a rush of adrenaline flooded my entire body. I could feel Elijah coursing through my veins, his hot and intoxicating scent filling me.
Memories of Jeremy faded, and all the sweet moments of the past began to dissolve. All I could see was Elijah, and my body wanted him.
"Shall we continue?" he murmured, his lips moving lower down my neck, inhaling the scent of my skin. "I want to keep going, Delilah. Don't you?"
My answer was a shuddering breath. I was losing myself in every touch of his hand. My mind was filled with nothing but him; I wanted him.
"Please," I whispered, barely able to contain my longing.
He grinned, his eyes blazing with desire. "Please, what?"
He pushed me down onto the bed, pinning me beneath him. I bit my lower lip, stifling a moan as his hands began to explore.
I felt like I was running loose, uncontrolled. My thoughts drifted away, surrendering to every caress Elijah placed on my most guarded places, quenching a thirst I hadn't realized I had, again and again.
The Alpha King's allure was ecstatic.
He trailed soft kisses down my neck and shoulder, his hand igniting a fire that sent me into uncontrollable heat.
"Please, my king..." I moaned.
"Do you want me to stop?"
My only response was a slight shake of my head. "No, don't stop."
"I know you want me to," he said, his voice smoldering.
