NINE MONTHS AFTER THE MARRIAGE KELLY THOMPSON'S POV Thank the moon goddess ! I gave birth this afternoon to a bouncing and nice looking pup. The baby's name is Eden Bentley, second in line for the throne after his father, the Alpha heir Jason. At last, I can resume my healer studies after quite a long interruption and get my certificate. My dream is to become a doctor for our community and a teacher at our school's pack. Jason also works at the school's pack but as the deputy director alongside the director and Gamma Nicolas Nord, a long time friend of the Alpha King Don Bentley but who also happens to be Betty's father. Uh, I really hate it. A couple of months later, Jason is now the new Alpha King after his father's resignation, too old. But I never imagined I would be rejected after that and forced to leave the pack. The pack's papernews has even poked fun at me and depicted me as the one week Luna Queen on the front page. Betty Nord was informed that I gave a son to Jason, she gone wild and vowed to stir trouble by all means. So she framed me and Jason trust her. He has never loved me, although I even gave him a son. In fact, Betty came to the castle the following day after the new Alpha King's coronation so that she would congratulate the new ruler of the land, she pretended. Jason and I were sitting on the royal stage in the main hall of the castle to welcome our well-wishers as per the South pack's custom after the takeover of a new Alpha King. Betty was magnificently dressed in a blue satin robe with pearls around the neck. She graciously walked to the demarcation line and stopped. She thereupon bowed before His Majesty and I and requested to come closer. Jason granted her the permission. I could sense he still had feelings for her. "Your Majesty, My Queen, I wish you long live and victory over our enemies. Be assured that for me the past is now the past. I'm very happy with my nurse training and that's all that matters to me right now and nothing else," said Betty. "However, I'm sad about the old Alpha King who is sick because of his advanced age. I wish I could show the Luna Queen who is a healer student by the way how to make a rejuvenating pill that will help His Majesty Don Bentley get some vigor and stand up once again. I learned this skill in my east pack's school, one of the best school in the werewolves' universe," she added. The new Alpha King was quick to take the floor so excited he was by the offer of his former crush. "Oh definitely, the Luna Queen will learn how to make that pill. My father must stay alive long enough to see his grandchild Eden grow up, mustn't he, darling?" said Jason, playfully calling me darling for the first time as he stared at me. So I agreed. The next day, Betty came to the castle with a bag containing the ingredients to make the rejuvenating pill for the old Alpha King. Jason was away. Without further due, Betty brought out the ingredients for the medicine and began to mix them. "Look Kelly, if a mistake can be fixed when meshing the ingredients, it can't unfortunately if you misspell the magic formula. Anything can then happen, absolutely anything," she then uttered while looking at me straight in the eyes so she could detect fear. And then she started. "Repeat after me! SERVUNDA BEVUNDA OLDMO ALPHATO KINGO DONTO BENTLEYO VOMITTO," Betty Nord commanded me as her face turned into that of an old witch and freaked the hell out of me. I knew something was wrong in that magic formula but Betty was telling me incessantly: "Repeat, repeat, repeat!" I was resisting and tried to leave, she got angry and said another magic formula: "BERVUNDA SERVUNDA LUNATA QUEENA OBEYA TOYA MEYA" while agitating her nails as if she was pulling me to her with an invisible rope. Then a powerful force struck me and my mouth opened. Betty thereafter sent her voice into my mouth and on behalf of me repeated the magic formula. As soon as she was done, a nice looking pill appeared in a coffret as I was getting back to my senses. "What have you done to me, Betty Nord?" I asked angrily, but she hushed me. "Here is the rejuvenating pill for the old Alpha King. After he takes it and gets better, believe me, Jason will fall in love with you like never before," she convinced me. I was so desperate for Jason to truly love me one day. I then hurried to the old Alpha King's private apartment with the pill. "Your Majesty, I have something for you. It's a rejuvenating pill to make you feel better," I declared excitedly as I entered. "Oh, Kelly, you know I'm old. I don't need this. I've had a good life. It's time for me to prepare to go. One or two more years won't change anything. I'm already in the history books. What else will I do that hasn't been recorded or written yet?" the old Alpha King responded. "That's very true, Your Majesty! But I think you would enjoy seeing your grandson Eden again for a couple more years," I persisted. "Oh yeah, surely. I want to see this pup grow and continue our dynasty. Bring me that pill," commanded the old monarch, who couldn't resist any longer when he heard the name of his little protégé. He sat up on the bed, and I gave him the pill with the water. He drank it right away, and then the unexpected happened. The old Alpha King began to shout and complain about an acute stomachache before vomiting profusely. "What have you done, Luna Queen?" asked the old Alpha King's messenger, Pal, who had been watching us silently. At that very moment, my husband, Alpha King Jason, came in. Apparently, he was coming for a routine visit to his father, only to find out that I had tried to poison him with a pill. His wolf, Jude, very angry, tried to take over, but Jason's human side held him back. "See, you little b*tch, you better get out of here and never come back. If I unleash Jude, you are dead, but I won't do so because of our son Eden. However, I, Jason Bentley of the South pack, reject you, Kelly Thompson, as my mate and the Luna Queen," he declared fiercely. I was in pain, both in my heart and fearing for my life. And eventually I left and hid in the pack's forest. A dog found me and bit me. I was bleeding, and my wolf, Sherry, was forced to take over. She killed the German shepherd by piercing its body with her sharp claws. The dog's owners became aware of my wolf's position, but she ran fast and escaped. She was bleeding terribly as she crossed the boundaries of the South pack and entered the rival North pack's territory. One side had to die for the other to survive. That was the only solution, sadly. Sherry fell to the ground, weak. She tried to tell me something, but her voice was faint. Nonetheless, I knew what she wanted to say. She wanted to say goodbye as she prepared to die so that I could live. I howled inside her as she slowly left the world, and her wolf's body reverted to human form. I was now officially a rogue.
