Just after the mourning period for Daxton ended, Calista returned to her position at Oberon Hospital. Her colleagues, seasoned in handling life-and-death situations, knew too well that words could be incredibly insufficient during such times, so they refrained from uttering hollow consolations like "take it easy." However, the small gifts and snacks that occasionally appeared on her desk betrayed their concern for her.
