Chapter 4 Solving Academic Puzzles

Not wanting my brothers, Beavis, and Butthead, to help to set up for the Moon ball, I enlist my best friends from the pack house. As luck would have while I am walking into the pack house, I see my brothers Beavis and Butthead sitting with another set of female twins. They look up at me, smiling as if they had won the lottery. I look at them warily, hoping they weren't just using the girls. The boys must have read my mind, they assured me these girls are their mates. I laugh with relief and walk over to hug the four of them. I ask out of curiosity, guys will your mates be moving here. The boys laugh, "no way sis, we are going to their pack in Italy. They don't have any brothers, so their dad is training us to be his next alphas." The boys then high five each other." I try not to grimace, their dad has not a clue of what he is getting himself into. I smile, congratulate them, and head over to find my girls. Wearing my one-piece bathing suit, I walk out to the pool area. Apparently, all the other she-wolves wear scanty bikinis. The one-piece works well for me. It's not too much attention-grabbing. Dropping my towel on the lawn chair, I let go of my messy bun and release my hair. I sit down and sip my Iced Tea. Pulling the lawn chair back, I put on sunglasses to relax. I am in my world when I see a guy sitting next to me. I tilt my sunglasses, looking at him in the sun. I think he told me his name was Zach. Suddenly, I register what he is saying: "Wow, Clair, you are so hot!" since you just came back from college! As I put on my sunglasses again, I say thank you, but I'm not interested. In front of me is a helpless, hurt wolf, but I am not looking for love. I am here because my girls are playing in the pool. I close my eyes and ignore Zach. I can't play nice, that is leading him on, making him believe he has a chance. As Zach walks away, I hear him mutter under his breath, "The Prince thinks he can charm himself into her pants. Good luck with that, maybe she isn't into guys." All of you know I have anger management problems. "What did you say pup?" "Did you say the prince wanted to charm his way into my pants?"? Who does he think he is? The prince has never met me:" I already have Zach in a sleeper hold. As Zach is gasping for air, "he says he saw you at the castle the other day." After Zach has passed out, I drop his body on the cement. It occurs to me then that I have been right. The prince is in that car. My plans for revenge rush through my mind. Upon reaching the Alpha's office, I request a burner phone. I shake my head as my brother looks at me curiously. Letting him know he does not want to know what I am about to do. This way, he can claim plausible deniability. I head back out to the pool and beckon Becky and Samantha to come here. "Come on, girls let's go to the garden." The three of us sit on a bench in the garden. I explain to them what I am about to do. Their mouths drop open in shock. "Clair, any other guy and I would root for you. However, this isn't any other guy, he's the prince." I smile a devilish smile, and the girls vehemently shake their heads no. I pick up the phone, dialing the prince's phone, which is available in my brother's phone directory. Yes, I swipe my brother's phone. I dial the number; I hear the prince answer the phone. I am telling you he has one sexy voice. "Who is this? How is it you have my number?" Gagging silently, I begin my acting. "Oh, I am sorry, I think I called the wrong number, please forgive me. However, seeing as I have you on the phone, Zach, your friend is at our pool party, and he was saying how you wanted to meet me." The prince's gut is telling him something is not right. The one thing no one has said about this girl is that she is easy. Playing along, "I might have said your back end is cute, but seriously I have never met you" Princey, do you mind me calling you Princey? I am headed out to the castle to help with some security issues. How about we meet up unless you are too busy?" The prince thinks for a moment and then agrees to meet her in front of the stairs in a couple of hours. Clair hangs up laughing so hard she needed to lie on the ground. "Okay girls, let's go get Claire to meet the prince. Becky, have your brother get a livestock trailer and meet us at old Miller's farm. I let the farmer know we are borrowing Claire his dairy cow. At the farm Claire the cow is stubborn, the farmer and Becky's brother push from the back end, and we pull on the leash, it takes us a while, but we get Claire the cow in her cage. The girls ride with me in my car, and Becky's brother follows us in a livestock truck. When we reach the Castle, we all drag Claire the cow out and tie her to a pole, we all race into our vehicles and speed off before we get caught. I leave a note on the cow saying, "Hi, I am Claire. Ready to charm me out of my underwear, as Zach would put it. Have fun with Claire." I dial Xander's number on the burner phone, not giving him a chance to speak when he answers the phone. "Hi Xander, I can hardly wait to meet you, I am waiting and ready outside." I hang up my phone and throw the phone out the window, hearing it shatter on the cement. I drive the girls to the pack house and bade my farewells, I then head to my office, I want to find out who has been stealing our data. I sit in my overstuffed office chair, making myself comfortable, with a cup of hot tea on my right, and some Mike and Ike's on my left. Having made myself comfortable, I open my laptop, not noticing right away, my camera is on.
