Rea's POV I woke up with a gasp. Everything was hurting, but my throat hurt more. I touched myself and winced. I must be bruised. At that moment, last night's events came back to me. It was Blake. He strangled me. I told him about Mia and he got angry and strangled me. My heart started to beat faster. I could have died. Why didn't I fight back? Yes, that's right. I didn't have any fighting strength in me. No matter what I did, I could get my body to move. I thought I was a goner and the last thing I would see before I left the world would be Blake's face full of rage and hatred for me. I couldn't stand that.
