Chapter 20

I went upstairs and plugged my phone to charge before going to the bathroom to take a shower. It was when the water droplets wet my hair that it occurred to me that I didn't give Uche my reply after he asked me out. I had walked away with Nick going on and on. I should have just said yes before he received Nick's call but then my aunt would have still been worried. Thinking of it in the shower, Uche was right, the creek did grant wishes, I wished for a mutual likeness from him and he just asked me to be his girlfriend, I just hope it actually grants my first wish, I hope my mum's time at the rehabilitation center is shortened.
