[ Rain Anderson Blackwood ] "Yeah a wife who took her sister's place to dig on my money Rain Anderson."He jerks me with such force that I stumble and fall on the sofa behind me. His words hits me like sharp arrows but I let them bleed my heart.He's heartbroken and our parents forced us to tie an wanted knot. "Don't show me your pathetic face again.You may be my wife in the eyes of the world but inside these four walls, we are nothing but two strangers forced to live together under the same roof thanks to that bitch Roselie."He spits venom from his mouth. I wipe my tears and slowly raise on my feet.The man is doing nothing other than crushing my dignity under his shoes. "I am your wife, Nicholas and it gives me right to do my duties as your wife whether you like it or not.Please give us a chance."I plead him but the man is practically steaming anger. "Wifely duties.."He chuckles sarcastically," You know you're sounding very funny right now.When I simply clear this little misconception of yours that have nothing between us nor we'll be spending our whole life together.I am just waiting the first six months so I can prove in the court that you're a worthless shit."He angrily yells. "Please don't call me names."I beg him in a weak voice. "You deserve it."He restorts vehemently and walks away towards his home office. I gulp down my lump. I blink my tears and make my way to my room.I expect this evening to end like this since I came downstairs.Elle gives me a sympathetic smile.I hate when people look down at me with pity but what am I more than a poor creature whose fate is playing a cruel joke on her. Once I reach inside my room,I lock the door securily and let the dam of my patience break in the form of more tears. His cold hatred is something I can't prepare myself to embrace. He can be lenient and friendly towards me. At least I deserve some kindness as a human if he isn't ready fo accept me as his wife. I cry for like an hour until my eyes give up om tears. I decide skip shower just change and try to catch some sleep when my phone buzz with the special tone I set for my brother Raindard. Shit! This is thousands times harder than bearing Nicholas' anger.My brother will shoot Nicholas in his skull if he gets a whiff of my compromised marriage to save our family from the humiliation and the joint venture of Anderson-Blackwoods.It goes off first time and I feel my breathing getting normal but I can't live at peace. My hands trembles as the phone rings again.I can't avoid talking to him or he'd come here and the last thing I want to happen before apocalypse that Nicholas and Rainard come face to face. With frantically beating heart, I swipe the green icon and place it on my ear. "Hey commando."I try to joke but in response I hear a loud shattering sound which increases my heartbeats on a dangerous rate. "Don't just don't try to fool me, Rain.I was away from this marriage shebang for a reason but when I come here to celebrate our birthday, I find my sister traps with that monster Nicholas Blackwood. You know very well that since the beginning I was against this marriage proposal between Rose and him but here my dearest sister pushed herself in the living hell."He yells on me while I silently bear his anger because I know he loves me a lot and he can't see me getting hurt by any means. "Raindard please calm down and let me explain you our situa-"I am again interrupted by another shattering sound. "Just shut up, Rain.I don't need your fucking excuses.Our parents can do anything to save their asses.They find you a scapegoat to come out of Roselie's mess.They are selfish people, sparrow. "His tone softens.I know he's crying and it makes me smile sadly as he used my pet name that he gave me as I couldn't stay at a place for a longer time. "Our parents love three of us more than anything. They're not trying to digest the fact that their only son decided to join army rather than handling their business, that's all, monkey."I use the pet name I gave her as he used to pull my hairs. "Please grow up and see how people use one another for their own selfish motives, Rain. Don't let them play with your innocence because in the end, you'll be going to get hurt badly."He says. "I love the people around me and I can sacrifice my life for them.Please Raindard calm down.Nicholas isn't a bad person. You have to change your vision to see his good side."I try to defend my husband who called me a shit a while ago. How ironical but love makes us do anything even though sometimes our conscious doesn't approve of it. "I am coming to meet you tomorrow and I do not want any argue on this matter. I want to test his waters otherwise you're going to apply for a divorce without any argument. I don't care what people say.All I want your happiness which certainly not in the bucket with the Blackwoods."He says. "How are you so sure of your perception about Nicholas and his family?"I don't know what makes me ask him this question because he has been out of the country for years. I receive his silence in response. "Raindard ?"I poke him again. "It's..it's...something I can't tell you over the phone Rain."He says after a momentary silence. I feel a hesitation in his tone.He's trying to hide something for sure. Is he right about Blackwoods?
