Chapter 57 A Storm

The sun was almost gone when our plane landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. I looked out the window and smiled. My heart still felt warm from the trip, my face brimming with all the sweet memories I carried. My hair was still a little wet from the swim earlier, and I could still smell the sea on my skin. I was happy. Truly happy. Doctor Aldrich walked beside me. He did not say much, but he looked peaceful. He held my shopping bags with one hand, and with the other, he kept me close. We were okay. Better than ever.
