Chapter 37 "I Won't Let You Fail"

"Come with me." He instructed. I watched in complete horror. He pulled one hand away from the ladder and out to me. With shaking hands, and absolutely no common sense, I took his hand and he hoisted me up onto the ledge. I steadied myself against the ledge and laughed a nervous laugh before looking down to the water. "Oh dear God." I looked back at him. "What if we fall?"
