Chapter 36 Into The Rift
Morgan POV
The forest is a hollow shell without her, the dawn’s light mocking us as it spills across the ground where Fynn vanished. My knees dig into the dirt, my hands clawing at the earth, her name still burning in my throat—Fynn, Fynn, Fynn—a scream that won’t stop echoing in my skull. The rift’s gone, snapped shut like it never was, leaving no trace, no scent, just silence and the weight of her absence crushing my chest. I can’t breathe, can’t think, can’t feel anything but the hole she left, her gold light a ghost in my memory.
