Bree kept tossing and turning in bed. It was almost two in the morning, but sleep still eluded her. She couldn’t stop thinking about what they talked about earlier. She couldn’t believe that her grumpy boss actually apologized to her. Jackson Samaniego actually asked for forgiveness. Even though Bree said it wasn’t necessary since she also had her faults, he insisted. The second thing that surprised Bree was seeing Jax laugh in front of her. Rumors in their office said that no one had seen their boss laugh since his wife died. They said he changed after her passing. He was no longer the warm and friendly Jackson his family and friends used to know.
