The figure stepped forward into the light, and Lydia had to stifle a gasp. It was a person or at least, person-shaped but their features seemed to shift subtly, never settling on one appearance. One moment they appeared old, with silver hair and lined skin; the next, young and vibrant; and sometimes, something in between or neither. Their eyes, though their eyes remained constant. Ancient and knowing.
