After Rafael had left to attend a crucial meeting at the Pathfinders Guild, Hazel requested Cassandra come to the family estate once again. The tension between them had shifted somewhat since Hazel’s extravagant birthday gala. Hazel’s perspective of Cassandra had softened, but not enough to consider her as a suitable fiancée for Rafael. Hazel weighed her options carefully. She realized force or intimidation wouldn’t work with Cassandra especially after Cassandra’s bold defiance of Hazel’s influence at the gala. Coercion was out of the question.
