Heather and Leona stayed for just over an hour before making their way out of the penthouse. Cassandra, poised and unfazed, walked them to the private elevator lobby of the Sinclair Tower smiling, gracious, not a trace of bitterness in her expression. The marble floors gleamed beneath their heels as she bid them goodbye, the city lights stretching out like constellations beyond the glass walls.
