Rook POV Climbing out of bed carefully, I try not to wake Kade. He’s still out cold, his body relaxed in a way that tells me he hasn’t had real sleep in days. I grab my clothes and pull them on, keeping my movements quiet. Before stepping out of the room, I lock the door behind me. He can try climbing out the window again, but I already learned my lesson.
