Elijah’s POV The warm spray of the shower pelts my skin, but it does little to calm my restless mind. Piper’s scent lingers everywhere, tormenting me, pulling me apart piece by piece. It’s maddening—knowing she’s here, in the same building, so close yet so untouchable. My hand scrubs at my chest absentmindedly, my thoughts spiralling back to the way her lips felt against mine, soft and warm, like honey dripping straight to my soul.
