Premise: Sixteen-year-old Ava Thorne has always felt out of place in her small, sleepy town, but when she starts experiencing strange phenomena—objects moving on their own, gusts of wind when she's emotional, and strange visions—she discovers she has latent magical abilities. Soon, she’s approached by a mysterious recruiter from Elemental Academy, a prestigious school for young witches and wizards who can control the fundamental elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. At the academy, students are divided into four houses based on their affinity to one of the elements, and Ava is astonished to learn that her power doesn't fit neatly into one house. Instead, she has a rare connection to all four elements, marking her as someone of extraordinary potential, but also as a target for jealousy and suspicion.
