The mist rising from the river glistened under the moonlight as Lyra, Kylan, Ryan, and Kellan made their way back to the riverbank. Though the serpent had been defeated, a heavy silence hung over them. The once-threatening gorge now seemed calm, but Lyra couldn't shake the lingering tension that twisted in her gut. As they reached the shore, the river guardians emerged from the depths once more, their shimmering forms stepping out of the water.
