Chapter 51

Her eyes widened as she watched the sword leave the king's palm and slide into the middle of his bed. She gulped and wiped her face. It might be a dream, but the sword still shone golden sparkles in her very eyes. She tilted her head to the side, wanting to look up to the man before her, but she was already mounted on the bed—on her knees. Her lips dropped open. What was happening? When she tried to glance back, she found her hands and legs locked into a chain that seemed to fall from the rooftop, even though she couldn't see it clearly.
