Just like it has always been.” Sarah stared at him for the longest moment before standing up and rounding the island. She was at his side, slumping forward into his chest, her arms circling his neck. She buried her face in his shoulder. She felt the thumping of his heart and pulled back to look into his eyes. She felt a little foolish for the long time she had taken to come to a conclusion so easily.
