Chapter 13 - Do You Want Money?

I lean against the wall in front of the door and my body slides down to the floor without me having control over it. I cry for a few minutes before being assisted by a nurse who takes me out of the ICU. I don't know how long I stayed practically motionless in the waiting room, but when I manage to control my tears and think clearly again, I look for my cell phone in my purse to call Aunt Ada, Emma, or anyone else who can calm me down.
