Colin hastily descended the stairs, the tears blurring his vision as he entered his car and sped out. As he drove back to work, his heart beating wildly, his eyes blurred with tears he wished would stop springing up and threatening to spill, his hands gripped the steering wheel with a white-knuckled intensity, his knuckles turning pale with the force of his grip. His driving was erratic, his mind consumed with wild dark thoughts he couldn't ignore.
